Become a Member of the Park People

Join The Park People today to help us reach our paid membership goal of 10% of Milwaukee County residents!
Together, we can change the damaging course of parks funding and restore the vitality of our parks for future generations!
The Park People membership is annual and includes a window sticker to show your pride in being a member of the Park People!
Your membership also helps us to:

  • Advocate on behalf of Milwaukee County parks by providing a voice that speaks out on critical issues such as funding sources, governance and land use.
  • Prevent the spread of invasive species in our parks which kill of native plants through our Weed Out program.
  • Support and provide guidance to over 50 park specific "Friends Groups" throughout the County!

Park People membership levels

  • Individual Membership

    $35.00

    Our basic membership level for individuals includes these fabulous park perks:

    • Membership is tax deductible.
    • Notification about important park issues.
    • Our quarterly newsletter, “Park Place”
    • Park People window sticker.
    • Free admission for your children to “Storytime in the Park”
    • Advance registration and member discount for our annual “Run for the Parks”
    • Milwaukee County Park coupons (A $20 value!) :
      • One (1) free admission to Mitchell Park Domes
      • One (1) free admission to Boerner Botanical Gardens
      • One (1) free admission to Cool Waters water park.

  • Family Membership

    $50.00

    Our basic membership level for families who support the Park People and Milwaukee County Parks.
    Family memberships get all the park perks of an individual membership, plus:

    • One (1) skate rental at the Red Arrow park skating rink
    Price: $50.00

  • Protector Membership

    $100.00

    As a thank you, those who join at our "Protector" membership get all the park perks included in the individual and family memberships, plus:

    • Recognition in the “Park Place” newsletter
    • One (1) coupon for green fees & cart at any a Milwaukee County “Silver” level course
    Price: $100.00

  • Guardian Membership

    $250.00

    Guardian membership includes all the perks included in the individual, family and protector levels plus:

    • A Park People Fleece Blanket

  • Benefactor Membership

    $500.00

    Benefactor memberships include the park perks in all the previous membership categories, plus:

    •  One (1) "adopt-a-tree" in a park of your choice.  A brass hang tag with words you choose will be placed on a tree recognizing your "adoption".

  • Joy Teschner Circle

    $1,000.00

    Our highest membership level is named in honor of our Founder Joy Teschner and represents her extreme commitment and dedication to The Park People and our Milwaukee County Parks. All previous park perks are included at this level, plus an exclusive invitation for the yearly "President's donor appreciation dinner" held by Board President of The Park People at Coast restaurant.
